Stingray 2.0

  • Measures water level and velocity in partially filled pipes and open channels
  • No flume or weir required
  • Extreme low power consumption
  • Uses standard alkaline D-cell batteries
  • 130,000 point data logger
  • USB output
  • Powerful Windows software
  • LCD bar graph display

The Stingray 2.0 is a portable level-velocity logger, with free Greyline Logger Software for the calculation of flow as an open channel meter. The design is compact, portable, and battery-powered which makes it a fantastic instrument for open channel flow measurement. Using four standard Alkaline D-cell batteries to operate as a battery-powered data logger, the unit is a complete area velocity logger with an ultrasonic sensor that data logs level, velocity, and water temperature for flow monitoring through open channels, partially full sewer pipes and surcharged pipes.

Easy to Operate

The sensor is installed in the bottom of a pipe or channel and requires no calibration . Use the included Greyline Logger software to set the logging interval and get real-time flow readings on your laptop or PC. The built-in LCD display lets users check level and velocity rates, remaining battery life, and logger memory.

The Stingray 2.0 can scroll through the level, velocity, and temperature readings, and indicates the unit’s remaining battery life and logger storage capacity. To help with battery life, the display will turn off automatically after 60 seconds to preserve battery.

Ideally used for many open channel flow monitoring applications like flow surveys and studies, I&I (Inflow and Infiltration) studies, CSO monitoring, stormwater runoff, irrigation water, and permit compliance. The submersible ultrasonic sensor continuously monitors both level and velocity in the channel with no calibration required. The Stingray 2.0 portable open channel level-velocity logger stores 130,000 data points and offers USB data download to view real-time level and velocity readings, view the remaining logger and battery capacity, and set the logging interval.

This compact, portable battery-powered data logger is designed for flow measurement in applications without a flume or weir, especially stormwater, combined effluent, raw sewage, irrigation water, raw sewage, and streamflow.
